The Gapeau Valley in the Var, accounts for 75% of the National purple fig production, wich is 2500 tons per year! The fig trees grows in this valley on a mineral-rich soil with good drainage and a specific microclimate. They have taken up residence for so long they are now a structural element of the landscape.
The Perrin purple fig jam is a generous jam, where the fruit, gourmet, harvested at maturity, offer a soft and generous pulp.
